Get Carded - Happy 18th Birthday!

Hello! Our daughter had her 18th birthday yesterday, so of course a card was made for the occasion:

Several of the materials used are much older than our daughter; in fact, some are even older than me!

The woman's head is not; it's from a 1965 spring/summer Sears catalog. The large number 18 is older, though - it's from a 1950's flashcard set (I edged the flashcard with green ink).

But the oldest part of the card is the "Think of it!", which was cut from a 1930's grammar book.

Present day materials: white card stock, piece of hand-painted paper (given to me) and "happy birthday" stamped in black ink onto a piece of card stock.

This card was fun to make and our daughter liked it. She is well-used to my vintage supplies by now, so I suppose I could put just about anything on a card and she'd be okay with it!
